One of our founders, Michael, has been working in the historical preservation and restoration industry for seral years. This work brought them to become a regular at Beaty American in 2024 and 2025. It was the only architectural salvage business in Philadelphia and was home to a vast collection of historical materials and more. Little did they know the owner Bob Beaty was beginning to gear down to prepare for retirement. Without an architectural salvage busines in the area even more materials would become destined for landfills and makers like Michael would have to settle for whatever they could get their hands on.

With retirement around the corner Bob would frequently ask Michael "Have you ever considered going into the salvage business?" and well here we are!
